Greetings Everyone!
Autumn is probably my favorite time of year. I love the smell of wood burning fireplaces, the crunching of dried leaves under my feet and the hot apple cider and fresh baked apple pies. It's all about changes in our clothing, food (goodbye summer salads - hello chili and hot tamales),decorations, etc.
The Art Center is all about changes too.  We have a  full schedule for you this season with new events and new artists, and I couldn’t be more excited!
Craig Neukirch is a Wood turner from Cuba, MO.  Craig goes out and harvests his own Missouri wood and then turns them into beautiful creations of art. His vessels, vases, urns and "worry pots" are just a few of the items we have on hand.
Gordan Radford has probably been seen around town with his camera in focus ready to shoot a photo because he lives right here in Washington, Mo and has captured our town in some very interesting and diverse shots.
Ellen Klamons is our newest jewelry artist and lives in St. Louis, Mo.  Ellen's work has only been in our gallery less than a month and already is popular with many customers. Her jewelry is different than anything else we have in our case.
Jennifer Higard is a ceramic artist who has just recently moved here from Kansas,Mo. Jennifer is an art instructor at East Central College and we are delighted that she has chosen The Art Center to carry her work.
Although Randy Carter is not new to The Art Center, he is creating different types of stained glass pieces that are made from the bottoms of bottles and are used as window art or sun catchers.  Randy is also creating serving plates out of melted wine bottles (great for cheese, candy, business cards, etc.).
Stop in and visit us soon, and don’t forget to mark your calendars for our 5th Anniversary Celebration coming soon!
Fondly,

Jane Arnold, owner
